Shannon Smith
Cognitive Clinician

Shannon is originally from Grayson County, Ky. She attended Eastern Kentucky University where she earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in English with a concentration in literature. She then taught writing and reading classes at EKU for 11 years, developing a passion for helping students with learning challenges. She has since worked with children of all ages and for the past 5 years, providing dyslexia intervention and academic support in pediatric services. She lives in Lexington with her dog Wally. Her purpose in life is helping children and providing support to their families.
